Today, was the shoot of Biovital, a Polish vitamin. I was in charge of finding the cast for the commercial, it took two long weeks of millions of phone calls, tonnes of emails, auditions, meetings, tears, failures and favours, but eventually it was the Big Day, Today! and now all the stress is over, a jobs well done, and its time to look for the next one!
something i definitely learnt from this experience was that communication is indeed a vital tool, and furthermore, that when you give someone your word you should really keep it. At the last minute when someone broke their word that they would be there, it caused such stress and made the job terrible for myself and the rest of the production crew, yet this person never thought of their consequences. I think this relates to the theme of my blog of just living life, in that don't over commit yourself, if you can't do something don't say you can, do what you can and don't make promises you cant or don't intend to keep. it makes life hard for the rest of us!
Well, I took a few photos from the shoot, not many as I lost my camera... (well Lauren did)... but still
The full moon, right before Chinese New Year!
The worst thing, and perhaps best thing about starting work so early when its still dark
worst - you have to wake up!
best - you get to catch Malaysia at its most beautiful, its calm, quiet, cool and you get to see scenes like this!
Stealing a quick snap shot,
two Polish hikers walk past two women on benches who look at them with surprise at how bouncy they are from all their vitamins!
Quick break from the scene!
